UGC NET Social Work Exam Pattern: Everything You Need to Know

The UGC NET Social Work exam is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for eligibility for the position of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Social Work. The exam is held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode and consists of two papers:

  • Paper I: This paper is common for all candidates and will be of 50 objective-type questions, each carrying 2 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The duration of this paper is 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Paper II: This paper is subject-specific and will be of 100 objective-type questions, each carrying 2 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The duration of this paper is 2 hours 30 minutes.

The total marks for the UGC NET Social Work exam are 300 (100 + 200). The minimum qualifying marks for the exam are 50% for Paper I and 55% for Paper II.
